Beach Bar Bingo

The purpose of Beach Bar Bingo is to offer a simple, concise guide to some of the great bars around world that are located, you guessed it, on a beach. There’s just something about the vibe of a good beach bar that can put you in a state of bliss that regular establishments simply can’t. It doesn’t have to be trendy or ‘uber-lux’ – in fact the best ones rarely are anything close to that.

We’ve deliberately not used numbers of stars, or martini glasses, or pineapples.  We’ve seen too many one-star reviews obviously posted by someone who was shocked that the Hellfire Jerk Pork Sandwich turned out to be spicy or were miffed that they didn’t get served as fast as they do ‘back home’. More problems with the reviewers than the bar.

These are observations, not reviews. We’ve tried to provide some basic information – the kind of stuff we would find useful. The ratings, we leave to you. We’ve also restricted our reviews to daytime, as we feel that’s when a beach bar is at its best. Of course, many establishments included here offer lively evenings and nights, often with live entertainment, while others close right after sunset.
