Have had the pleasure of visiting Antigua a few times over the years, on week-long stays and cruise ship day stops, and it never disappoints. In addition to its famous boast of a beach for every day of the year, Antigua is rich in historical sites, like Nelson’s Dockyard. It also has some of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Caribbean (Shirley Heights is a must).
Perhaps more so than most islands, Antigua has seen a recent boom in upscale boutique hotels and resorts. This just adds to a list of accommodations that already ranges from family-friendly hotels to iconic resorts that regularly show up on “Ten Best” lists.
