Barbados was the first Caribbean island I ever visited, and in the 20-minute drive from the airport to my hotel, I was in love – not just with the island, but with the whole Caribbean lifestyle. It really was life changing.  So, thank you Barbados!

Today, Barbados really does offer something for everyone, from the family-friendly resorts in the south, to the bustling, attractive capital of Bridgetown, to the spectacular accommodations and restaurants of the so-called Gold Coast. It is an island made for exploring, with historical sights galore. Even the wild Atlantic side has a rugged beauty of its own that shouldn’t be missed.
