Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic (please!), Dominica is a fascinating island; lush, rugged and rich with natural attractions, such as rain forests, waterfalls and hot springs. It is little wonder that Dominica promotes itself as ‘The Nature Island’.
Naturally enough (no pun intended), Dominica has become one of the Caribbean’s leading destinations for ecotourism. Numerous tours and attractions cater to hikers, divers and nature lovers. The eco approach is even reflected in some of the islands most notable resorts. Maybe not the place for beach lovers or party goers, Dominica has plenty of appeal for the more adventurous traveler.
