More accurately, the Exumas, this overlooked gem is just another of the myriad groups of islands that make up the Bahamas. Great Exuma is the largest island in the chain. It is home to the most popular resorts and is connected by a bridge to Little Exuma. The rest of the Exumas amazingly consists of over 300 small islands and cays. Other accommodations are scattered throughout the islands, ranging from guest houses to super luxury villas.
As you can imagine, the Exumas are popular with yachters. But with tour operators, boat rentals and water taxis aplenty, anyone can explore the islands. You will find totally secluded beaches, turquoise waters, a world-famous beach bar and more. Oh, and the Exumas is home to the Bahamas’ famous swimming pigs.
